Moving Day at Our Lady’s Pantry

After several years wondering how to get more space for Our Lady’s Pantry, Rev. Gilberto Quintera, the new administrator of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Migrant Mission, had a great idea, says Tom Bullaro.

Bullaro, who is co-director of Our Lady’s Pantry, says Father Gilberta suggested rearranging the locations of the Thrift Shop and Our Lady’s Pantry.

“The Thrift Shop is moving to Tepeyac Hall, across campus,” says Bullaro.  “And we are moving into their space!”

According to Bullaro, the Thrift-Shop space is considerably larger than the space the Pantry had in recent years.

Anita Bullaro, who directs the Pantry with her husband, says everyone is excited.  “It’s not the new building we had hoped for, but we will have more space for food, which we desperately needed.

“Importantly, we are thrilled to have sufficient space to bring our families in out of the weather, while they are waiting for food!  From now on, we ask that they park in the front of our building, instead of the back, and come in through the front door.”

“The story of our expansion is still evolving, but at least we are beginning,” says Tom.

“As always, we thank you for any gift you send us,” says Tom.  “Every little bit helps.”
