Many hands make light the work

Thanks to many of you responding to our request for volunteers, we had lots of helpers on this Friday at Our Lady’s Pantry! This was terrific, because we had a huge order from our regional food bank — Feeding Tampa Bay — that took a long time to sort and pack away for our families.

“While we had lots of helpers today, however, other times our regulars have commitments that keep them away,” says Anita Bullaro, co-director of the Pantry. “Sometimes, we are seriously shorthanded.

“If you are looking to make a difference somewhere for a few hours each week, please keep us in mind.”

Our Lady’s Pantry is located behind the classroom building on the far right-hand corner of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Migrant Mission; 16650 U.S. Highway 301 South; in Wimauma.

“Working here is a good way to make new friends, too,” Bullaro adds.  “We have a great group and you are always welcome to join us.  We work Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday mornings.  Just ask for me if you come. Thanks again for your help.”
